CRIME FORUM II

The Maillardville Residents' Association hosted its second crime forum in partnership with Place Maillardville and Club Bel Age.  The event was well attended and the community heard short presentations by: 

• An RCMP member who outlined crime reduction strategies and current issues relating to Maillarville including crime stats for the area in general
• Members of the RCMP community liason team. 
• Blockwatch and community police station representatives who spoke on volunteer involvement through Community Policing Stations, Blockwatch, bike patrol etc.

Questions from the audience were taken after presentations and concluded with "Thank you" T-shirts being presented to guest speakers, sporting Maillardville's very own Monsieur Maillard Canard.  Refreshments concluded the evening.
