The MRA actively participates on all of the following committees:

• purpose: To consider and develop crime prevention strategies 
• accomplishments: Neighbourhood Walk Program. Community Forum on Crime.

CITY COMMITTEE PROFILES

• Mayor's Task Force for Maillardville Commercial and Cultural Revitalization:  Two members sit on this ongoing committee that brings all Maillardville stakeholders together to consider development strategies for the community and make recommendations.

• Gateway Task Force:  The Gateway project which includes the construction of the North Perimeter Road and the twinning of the Port Mann Bridge will have a profound effect on Maillardville. One MRA member participates on this committee.

• South West Coquitlam Area Plan Revision:  Along with the updating of the Maillardville Neighbourhood Plan, the City has embarked on a revision of the SW Coquitlam Area Plan.  One member is active with this project. 

• Board of Place Maillardville:  Place Maillardville Community Centre is a vital resource in the life of our community.  Three MRA members sit on the Board of Place Maillardville.
